Forty years after the premiere, and two years was being, in its cinematografca, the final event of the 65th International Film Festival of Venice, "Orfeo 9" is presented for the first time in a new production at a theater opera. Will take place on 4, 5 and 7 December 2010 at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna.

on this basic structure engage ideas and digressions that touch all the issues at the center of attention in quell'immediato "post '68" : life in common and hitchhiking as symbols of a youthful freedom soon conquered, a strange-bomb (with the A inside a circle to draw all too clearly the symbol of anarchy) that terrorizes the "right-thinking people in the city, the false illusions of artificial paradise, lack of communication and alienation of city life as opposed to the simplicity of life and communion with nature, etc..
Everything to represent, today, the faithful mirror of an era , a "document" that can tell us much about what those years were crucial and how they were young they lived. But
"Orfeo 9" is primarily a musical , a rock opera, the first in the world, above even "Tommy", which should not, however, neglected two major aspects: the visual and Music.
The work was created for the theater, then they have been made into movies. This was sent at the time a couple of times by Rai, in the early '70s, before ending up on the back burner (also blame the 'unacceptable' first floor of a syringe). Schipa is the same time trying to be released on DVD clashes with the resistance of Renato Zero which owns the rights of its output. The result is that the DVD several times announced that never seems to come out (but most welcome await any denials).
Available to all today is, in addition to the must book about the making of the work published by Zone Press, the double CD that thirty years has never stopped to sell (a record) and that of work, collecting the songs.
Loved (all signed by Schipa, words and music, except for a couple of collaborations) that almost always have the quality to stand out from kinds prevailing in the 60s and 70s , to achieve a classic that will accept ago today, something that can not be said of much of the production of that period, strongly characterized by very firm and styles today ... very out of fashion.
